30 Days of Wildly, Luscious, Soulful Living – You in??

divineIn Manitoba, Canada we got hit with a snow storm.  It was after all the snow had melted and it seemed as though spring had sprung, albeit a little earlier than usual.  Then the snow….oh the snow.  Since the dumping of the cold, crisp white on top the emerging and awakening grass, I thought about how much it reflected my own internal experience.  I was excited for the new beginnings, the awakenings, the re-birthing that was occurring.  And then… stuckness.  It’s been halted by the old, stagnating, stalled, slowed down into inertia old story.  I have felt a great inner restless and boredom, like I’m being confined in stuckness, shackled into immobilization and separated from the new.

Anna Merkaba from Sacred Ascension writes, “…I would like to point out to all of you that the next few days leading up to this blood moon may see you incredibly conflicted. All of your old memories and RE-Actions are going to come back, you may feel as if all the work that you have done on yourself is slipping way from you and you are right back to square one.

However, that is absolutely NOT what is happening. Simply the last ounces of “dirty water” are being squeezed right out of you. Brought up for you to deal with finally, and use all that you have learnt up to this point to SHIFT your focus onto the POSITIVE. ( https://sacredascensionmerkaba.wordpress.com/2015/03/26/blood-moon-freedom-portal-urgent-message-to-ground-crew-galactics/)

So here I am and likely many of you dealing with the final shackles of the old, breaking them completely away, healing the wounds on our wrists where the old gripped us with pain paralysis and prevented from moving forward on the soul path.  I must say there are great gifts that come with restlessness and conflicts, even stuckness.  It’s a great catalyst for change, when things finally feel so yucky, so incredibly heavy and reckless on the inside we create a plan.  We get busy making changes to get out of it.  It can set us forward, so there are gifts from the fear and despair in the lost tunnel of the old.  New creation can come from friction.

In light of this I’m going to share my process of 30 Days of  Wild, Luscious Soulful Living, a commitment to engage and move into the world and in my life as my wild, free, tribal soul.  It’s a commitment of aliveness and connection to my Sacred Feminine core.  It’s a shift of thinking, of intention and of experience.  Will you join me and participate to committing to your Sacred Feminine soul, dying to come out and dance and play and indulge in the extraordinary senses of living on the planet?  Why not!   I’ll share my daily exercises, writing prompts and rituals to Tap Into Your Wild.  So feel free to jump into your Feminine Wild Roots with me!!!!

****My friends, be sure to join the mailing list if you haven’t already because I don’t want you miss out on any of the the daily activities to ignite your wild! 🙂  ***

So let’s start, today with 30 Days of Wildly Luscious Soulful Living and shake off the stagnation remnants of the old guck.  Yahooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

I’m not asking to go and act out and be wild and crazy, no no no.  It’s a commitment to uniting with your Wild, Feminine, Tribal soul that sits waiting for you in your gut.  It can be found and experienced through transformational writing, meditation, dance, ritual, sacred art, sacred tasks, activities.  It can be found in a gratitude list, or the caress of the warm sun on your chilly cheeks.  It can be found in cooking with music and dance as part of the ingredient list.

So then What is the Sacred Feminine, What is it like to live Wildly, Lusciously, Soulfully?

It is an experiencing and embracing of your wild, primal, tribal nature.  It is a following of your alive instincts, your wild animal self, guiding you through inner knowing, emotion, intuition and gut feeling.  It is the language of the divine, found in your body.  You are the Divine and the Divine is you.  It is an awakening of your wild feminine and owning it, celebrating it like it was your birthright to feel, to intuit, to create, to nurture.  You are made of this wild feminine dust, you are meant to roar with the big dogs, to howl like wolves, to move like the wind.  You were meant to live your life, wildly awake, thirsting for life force energy that awakens your blood.  You awake through creating, through dancing, through intention.  You were meant to follow the drum beat into the forest and twirl like the fairies while standing as solid and firm as oak trees.  This is your birthright…you are born wild, fierce, strong, free.  Bring your wild into your home, bring your wild into your parenting and indulge yourself in your presence, in consciousness, in everyday living, sucking the juice from the fruit of life. Do what you want to do, creativity is your bridge, your gateway to uniting the mundane with your wild.   Paint a colorful paintbrush on your life and bring passion, aliveness and celebration in your life.

Stayed tuned for Wildly Luscious Living -Day 1 Task coming up!  (Make sure to add your email to make sure you get all 30 days of it. Join the Women’s Tribe Facebook Page to stay posted on upcoming events and info as well.

The Secret to Creating More Magic & Playfulness in Your Everyday Life. ..(It involves a Princess!)

moon image 5

My friend Angie messaged me that she dreamed of me and I had a beautiful ballerina princess on my right shoulder.  Interesting right!?  As a shaman and even someone who has studied Jungian therapy, I believe in the symbolic messages and guidance of our dreams.  So I embraced this little Princess Ballerina and ran with it to explore her message for me.

At yoga class last night I successfully did a headstand.  Yes… thank-you, thank-you 🙂  It has been almost two years since I’ve even tried to do one due to my poor health so it definitely speaks to my progress and growing strength each day.  Anyhow, as I sat there taking in the joy of the pose, I imagined this little princess on my shoulder.  Somehow she seemed to be like a tiny weeny mouse, much like Stuart Little but in princess ballerina format.  (Don’t ask me why I just go with what comes hehe).  She bore a poofy pink princess dress and a crown.  As I came down from my headstand I imagined her on my shoulder.  She was jumping up and down clapping while cheering “yay” and so proud of my willingness to adventure with this pose.   It tickled me pink. I became giddy and it opened an enjoyment in me that caused me to beam ear to ear in smile.  It was simply pure fun and raw excitement to imagine her on my shoulder like my playful little secret.

Yup, i just said that! Hehehehe….still giddy.

I got to thinking, why don’t we all have a fun little symbolic princess ballerina on our shoulders for a day?  Why don’t we allow ourselves to see different life elements and different moments in our day from this lovely presence?  Really she’s like our inner child, an extension of our souls, literally sitting on our shoulders.  She’s the definition of adventure and play, everything is enchanted and magical through her eyes.  She’s our ability to experience each moment as it is, detached of any preconceived ideas or feelings, just excitement for the experience at hand as thought it were an adventure.  Each moment is Divine. Why not consciously take a lesson from her book and enjoy the moment right?

So I imagined her throughout my day today and allowed her to guide me.  It allowed for a very connected and fun day with my son walking in the woods while I followed him off the trail.  He was leader you know.  Teehee.  And I didn’t think about cooking or cleaning or even my to do list.  I just was excited to play because I imaged what she would do consciously throughout the day, particularly when with my son.  It allowed for a freedom and peace than my busy mom, wife, adult woman self can forget about.

I invite us to take this further into different areas of our life too and get a feel for her perspective on it.  Let’s face it, life can get B.O.R.I.N.G. and mundane in routines if we allow it.  So invite her on your shoulder and taste the spoon of magic and enchantment for at least one day…see what you find in exercise listed below.

At work I imagine taking a break and dancing it out (maybe Shake It Off -Taylor Swift) and literally shaking it off just to change the energy and have mini bouts of fun throughout the day.  Or maybe we make tea and a joke coffee break at 3pm where everyone brings a cup of tea and joke and we have a funny laugh.    Any fun playful moments we can invite in our offices helps shake up the negative energy and allows us to connect joyously with our co-workers..  When I get back to work I plan to do this with my office buddy Cori 😉  At the end of the day it’s really about connection isn’t it?!

Then there’s doing dishes, everyone’s favorite right!?  I know, I know…so why not approach from the point of this cute little ballerina princess on our shoulder.  Can it be fun and adventurous (I know your thinking, dishes adventurous ya right!) but hear me out.  Can we approach our daily “to dos” and tasks with a child like wonder, meaning no preconceived ideas or feelings about things, just a simply acceptance and excitement with the task at hand.  Can we dry the dish like it were our first time and truly be in the moment while approaching each task with grace and humility.

Maybe dishes can be done with the intention of fun…turn on the tunes and dance while you dry. Or use some really luscious smelling soap and indulge your senses.  I remember learning from Lynn Andrews that doing dishes is a sacred act, like a prayer.  Make a game of it or start thinking of all the fun family suppers you can create while you clean.  Maybe everybody gets dressed up top notch, even the kids, and we have a fancy dinner with candles.  I imagined wearing my wedding dress, how fun would that be?  Might as well use it again, right?

What would that princess ballerina say to us about our relationships?  Whether it be friendships or romantic relationships, how can we bring child like wonder and enchantment to our connections?  Date night pops up in my head!! How can I create even fun date nights at home or just bring back some of the playfulness in my marriage?

Imagining these things excites me, it invites a playful energy into my life.  It invites me to enjoy the moment and squeeze out the excitement and joy of each day, each task and each person in my life.

WRITING EXERCISE:  MAKE SOME MAGIC WITH A BALLERINA PRINCESS

Pick four times throughout your day tomorrow.  Go on, pick them out, four literal times on the clock that you’ll  pause and see life from her perspective at that moment.  Journal from the point of view of a beautiful, happy, tiny, princess on your shoulder that is just full of life.   She radiates joy, she’s got even a happy, squeaky voice that oozes rainbows.

How does it feel to be around joy?  Do you embrace it?  Is it enjoyable?  Do you push it away or feel annoyed?

How would she approach the task at hand or the experience you are in?  Imagine writing as her and enjoy her point of view or just having her there on your shoulder, how does that feel?

How does that shift things for you?

If she could tell you anything what would she say?moon image 4

Enjoy….Please do share as always.

New Year’s Wishes Ritual.

magic dustYeehaw…New Year’s.  A new time, a new slate. A fresh beginning.  Like a trail of snow, untouched, waiting for your feet to mark imprints towards uncharted territory.  2014 was a doosey…a clearing, shedding, deconstructing and collapsing of what no longer serves us.  It was a cleansing, a cleaning out of what will no longer work.

“God calls us throughout our life to severe grace, the grace of the cocoon.  We are called to separate from the old, to die in order to be born.  If we open ourselves to this severe grace, we encounter God in new places: in the cyclone, in the dark, in the crisis that shatters our old confining consciousness.  It is this severity that makes us new.”  From First Light by my fave author, Sue Monk Kidd.

Kinda fits for 2014 doesn’t it?

I can tell you it was in those moments of shattering chaos or crisis that I did meet and experience Grace.  It was a profound freedom, and uniting of myself and my soul.  Finally that which was obscuring me from my truth…gone so I could sit there and meet myself.   A remembering and a merging into a new being was occurring and waiting to be born into life.

2015 is about birthing that new being.  It feels like a year filled with a whole bunch of new….new beginnings….new experiences…new relationships or partnerships…a new way to do life.  Rebirth.  Freedom.  Excitement.  NEW!!!

I’m excited…and at times overwhelmed.  I listed a few goals I have and I notice a heaviness immediately.  So screw that idea. Having vision doesn’t have to be heavy, burdensome or dark.

What if we went about this new year a little differently.  What if we made it about wishes….what wishes do you have this year?  What do you wish for your expression in the world?  What do you wish for yourself in 2015?   What do you wish to try or experience?

So rather than making a list of heavy, performance marking goals, list your wishes! Wish for fun. Wish to indulge in magic more often.  Wish to easily and joyfully accomplish….Wish to go a ballet this year because you love it.  Wish to take a whole weekend for yourself.  Wish to write a chapter of a book.  Wish for great family fun like a picnic at the park.   Wish for success and completion of a project.  Wish for participating in monthly new moon rituals.  Wish for pulling back and being gentle. Wish for connection.

So, what do you wish to experience this year?  List it and wish away.  Blow some snow, glitter or salt as you read aloud each wish and offer to Mother Earth to keep and hold for you so she can assist you in your birthing. Or throw some Epson salt into a fire for each wish or some glitter and voice it to the heavenly skies, the shining stars and glorious moon.   Share your wishes with your friends and family and get the kiddies to make wishes too.  Tell them it’s magic glitter so their wishes can come true. Or light a candle for each wish and blow them out like you would on a birthday cake.  Heck, make a cake and light a bunch of candles on it.  Blow them out and feast.  If you can list 50 wishes or more….go on…I dare ya’!

New beginnings and wishes is fun, uplifting, inspiring.

Wish away.  Happy, healthy, joyful, magical, fun New Year.

And so it is.

Go Buck Wild with this November New Moon Ritual!

nov moon1Ahhhhh…..a return to my home sign Sagittarius.  Another year of my life soon completed as my birthday fast approaches.  So much to reflect on this year….what an interesting year.

Tomorrow’s New Moon falls just as Sagittarius busts out of the gates and that’s some good and exciting news.  Us Sagittarius folk are about freedom.  Freedom…freedom…and more freedom.  We are free-spirited centaurs; half animal, half human and we love to play, explore and adventure out. We are thirsty for knowledge and know that it is through experience and exploration that we drink it in.  We are bright eyed and busy tailed, voluptuous thinkers and visionaries.  When we have an idea we run with it, not just in the farm yard but to borders and beyond.  We stretch the impossible limits with exciting visions and move towards the so called “unreachable”.  We dare to travel there, not just for the guts and glory of the pursuit but also for the radically fun ride of adventure down the trail of the unknown and un-travelled possibilities.

My statue of Goddess Tara was also an inspiration for this month’s new moon.  I typically keep her on my fireplace mantel but with Christmas Season my son wanted to put some snowmen in her spot.  So I reluctantly agreed and moved her onto my altar.  Wowza!  She’s been calling to go there.  She is the “mother of liberation” and she represents the virtues of success in work and achievements.  She governs the life, death and rebirth cycles and is often associated with Luna and the Moon cycles.  So allow Goddess Tara to see your visions, have fun and stretch those thinking limits into the realms of imagination, visioning and fun exploration for the soul.  Write down two or three goals you have for this moon cycle and sit it on your altar with some tobacco, corn meal or epson salts.  I have an offering plate where I leave my monthly moon goals and I tell ya’ they’ve been working.

NEW MOON RITUAL:  So in honor of this New Moon in Sagittarius I invite you to create a collage with all your radical, wild, free spirited visions for your life.  Go ahead, write them down, collage them, see them…and dare to dream them.  Have fun, play, and make visible your wild and free wishes.  Dare to dream the unthinkable and go for it.

Life is but an adventure, so embrace the Sagittarius energy and go buck wild in the adventurous realms of your soul.  Let yourself be sagittariously free spirited and charge into new visions and ideas.

Enjoy, it will be a great month.

Booyah! Your Body is Calling, Pick up the Phone!

BODY IMAGELoving your body is an inside job.  It is recognizing that She, your body, is your soul in form, an extension of the deepest part of you.  Loving your body is really about connecting to your Essence found WITHIN your body.  This can be a bit of a foreign concept for some of us who were taught that Spirit is outside of our bodies and the body is just a place of sin and weakness. I challenge this assumption.  Hogwash I say!  Your body is a Sacred Keeper and the physical form of the deepest part of you. This is called Embodied Spirituality, where connecting to your body is really connecting to the Divine.

Can you begin to have the intention of uniting your mind and body in a sacred union, a true and loving kinship? This means approaching your body as an equal, even as captain of the team.  This is a much different way than treating your body like a thing to dominate and a thing to push past it’s limits.  It is letting go of mind over body mantra and instead following the body’s lead.  It is opposite of everything we have learned and it will take some unlearning, believe me, I too lived that mantra.  I played competitive sports and we trained until we puked, pushed to the limits and beyond and called that success. My body has since rebelled as I continued to live a life of overdoing.  She has said no more, too much, no you won’t overdo, over-extend, over push, over carry, over burden me/us anymore.  She has put her foot down with the manifestation of an autoimmune disorder that I believe has evolved out of refusal to hear Her and slow down.  Now, I have no choice but to pay attention.  I’ve had to find another pace, another gear and slow way down in order to do life or I will have an autoimmune attack and end up in hospital.

Marion Woodman, a Jungian Analyst who specialized in the Lost Goddess said in a speech for Conscious Femininity, “You know, you must wander in a culture where autoimmune break down is the most prevalent of diseases — lupus, AIDS, cancer, chronic fatigue syndrome — these are all illnesses in which the body refuses to play host to the soul.” Booyah! That kinda hits you in the gut doesn’t it.

In mind-body therapy, we look for the metaphorical message in the illness.  Illness is often accompanied with unresolved emotion or belief patterns. In the book The Secret Language of Your Body by Inna Segal, autoimmune illness is associated with “…an inability to stand up for yourself.  Weighed down by responsibility.  Always putting others first.  Anger, resentment, blame and guilt…” For me, I regularly pushed past my limits, over committed, over did things, held everything on my shoulders and did not ask for help.  I didn’t stand up for my own limits, I didn’t stand up for my body’s needs or my souls needs.  I put other’s needs ahead of my own, and I sacrificed me time, down time or rest time in the name of getting more things done or to squeeze in an extra workout.

Autoimmune illness is literally the manifestation of the mind attacking the body.  For me, it is the manifestation of my mind pushing my body past it’s limits continually, never checking into see how things feel or where the body’s energy levels are at.  It is keeping it up too late, feeding it too little, forcing it to exercise extraneously, stressing it with life, having a thousand and one commitments to tend to and pretending there is no emotion within about the way I’m doing life.  It was living with an “I am fine” illusion when I wanted to cry at every stop sign I sat at. In fact, I pretended I was superwoman and to say I was struggling would have ruined my facade.  I rarely rested or fed my soul through creativity or stillness.  I only collapsed in exhaustion or used alcohol to disconnect from the exploding reality trying to burst out of my insides that I couldn’t manage the pace of my life any longer.  Then one day, I collapsed at work and life was never the same because an autoimmune disorder was born.

We must balance DOING with the Sacred Task of BEING!  Being is experiencing life with a pure intention of peace, joy, fun and play. It is not checking off the to do list or creating things for the purpose of getting accolades. It is refilling the energy tank, the love tank, the self-esteem tank, and the feel good to be alive tank all in one. It is experienced through stillness…conscious stillness, reflection, journaling, even when you really don’t want to or would rather watch TV and zone out.  It is also creativity, creative expression, and a dumping out of the emotional tub inside. It is walking outside and feeling the wind caress your face or it is sticking your tongue out and tasting a snow flake.  It is life lived at a slower pace, in the moment, focused on the beauty and wonder around us. It is connecting to the Universe, the Divine, to God & the Goddess, the Creator, the stars, the moon, the wind, the water and fire, because we need and crave meaning, spiritual connection, and emotional release in our lives.  We need to do less more often.  Did you hear that…do LESS more often! We need to have way more fun and play in life and accomplish less.  (This statement might get some great comments lol)

When we are so busy, over doing, over extended, over exhausted, there is no room for the soul, we don’t take presence in our own body.  We don’t step foot in our own two feet, we just float around in our minds going through our life tasks spiritually vacant.   Maybe we find ourselves wanting to cry out of nowhere and we aren’t sure why…this my friends is the soul’s tears.  They will leak out in the moments of stillness right before bed or when things just keep getting compounded and challenging that we can’t keep it together, we burst at the seems.  That moment is a gift, a call home to your Essence!

sacred body2GRATITUDE JOURNAL FOR MY DIVINE BODY.

So take five minutes and for today, write 5 things you are grateful for about your body.  Thank your legs for carrying you from place to place and the ability to move.  Thank your hands for doing such amazing work tending to the children or cooking meals.  Thank your gut for digesting food and helping you have life force energy to go about your day.  Thank your ears for the ability to hear a beautiful song or your child’s laugh.

Let’s appreciate our life giving, soul holding bodies today and everyday!  Let’s take things a little slower, a little gentler, a little more focused on fun and less on outcome.

And so it is 🙂
