July New Moon Ritual – Tap into Your Feminine Energy

Happy New Moon!!!womb

What can you say about this new moon? The energies feel fresh, like a new pattern forming. Last moon’s full moon broke us free from the stuckness, we became un-tethered and in some ways we still are, but there’s a freedom, a newness, a brand new energy coming in as a result.  Freedom….freedom….freedom!!!

This moon is a Cancer New Moon is about “initiating”. (Inspired by New Moon in Cancer: A New Step Forward. (http://www.collective-evolution.com/2016/07/03/new-moon-in-cancer-a-new-step-forward/ )  It’s also about family, love, connection, emotion, water, intuition…the feminine side of life.

“Initiating”…this word really stung me. Initiating the changes, the healing, the life force energies waiting for you to direct them.  There is still healing we are doing, still conversations and new directions to take but we have certainly got the ball rolling and good on ya’.

I sit here at 38 weeks pregnant, waiting, hoping for my baby to arrive.  Today seems like a beautiful day for that..the new moon.  Time will tell 😉

I can not wait, I’m buzzing with anticipation and excitement and yet I know the labour will be a painful transition but the new life, new love, the new form, the new family patterns await.  This feels quite symbolic to what we are going through spiritually, emotionally, intellectually and even physically as healing beings on this planet. We are in process of birthing new life forms and patterns but there is still some actions we must keep initiating to support our transition into new healing territory.

So enjoy this new moon filled with the energies of family, with love, connections, our wombs. Hone in on your emotional, creative and intuitive energy to guide you.  I read somewhere that we are being brought from our heads to our wombs on this New Moon so I invite you into a gentle ritual to honor this shift 🙂

NEW MOON RITUAL:

Close your eyes, take some deep, relaxing breaths and see a safe, healing, loving place in your mind’s eye.  Just go with whatever comes first. Feel the temperature there, see the colors, hear the sounds, smell the smells. Breathe it in. Relax and allow your environment to soothe you like a gentle, loving hug from the Great Mother herself.  Imagine your womb, your sacred life vessel transformed into a healing guide that represents your creativity, your emotions, your feminine side of Self.  See this being walking towards you and sitting beside you. Greet this being with love. What do you notice about this part of you? What qualities or aspects stand out?  What questions do you have for your feminine self?  Let this being answer.  What does the healing guide want to tell you?  Offer thanks and love at the guide’s visit when you are done.  Do you want to give the healing guide and gift?  If so, do so and notice what it is.  Hug, shake hands or send some well wishes as you end your conversation and make plans to visit again.  Gently come back into the room, feel your feel, wiggle your hands and toes and journal about your discoveries.

Reflections:

When your ready draw or doodle your image, or vision. Journal about what came. Did you give your guide a gift?  What was it?  What do you imagine it means?  Ask it if you need to.  Allow any new insight to emerge and form some luscious new intentions for this moon cycle to get clear on this New Moon.

As always, if you feel called or connect to my writing I’d love it you Followed My Blog or The Women’s Tribe Facebook Page.  Blessings y’all.

And so it is

12 Ways to Feel Really Alive in Everyday Life.

inspiredI’m big on making the small things big.  On stretching something ordinary into something grand to really enjoy it.  I mean, why not make everything special and extra-ordinary?  Why not enjoy the everyday stuff?  I’m trying to set-up my life where it feels like I don’t need a vacation from it.

I want my life to feel full of excitement, inspiration, joy and magic in the every day moments.  All it takes is some intention, focus and action.

So here is a list of 12 things (that’s only one a month people), of ways we can ignite the fairy glitter into the everyday. 12 ways to bring excitement, aliveness and passion into your every day life with the every day people in it.  It’s fun, easy and hopefully will get your creative, airy fairy juices going cause when you’re happy, everyone is happy.  That’s right, it’s contagious and uplifting.  So let’s uplift this place!!! 🙂

So here we go…

1)Sign-up for a class or activity that is all about fun.  Not making money, not showing off how great you are, not about moving you forward.  Do something that moves you inward, that fills your soul tank and ignites joy, peace and elation.  We are so focused on accomplishment but this task, this is about experiencing aliveness, nothing else.  Go take a painting class, an acting class, a music class, a moccasin making class…anything…cooking, cleaning, love-making.  Just do something with the intention to feed your soul, not making money or getting ahead (although I’m well aware this is very likely to be a by-product of feeding your soul, nothing but good comes from it).  🙂

2)Host a themed party with your friends and family.  In my circle, I’m known for making people play games.  I love them all…card games, board games, making up games.  Host a full blown casino night or Mexican Party night where everyone brings a Mexican dish and wears bright colors.  Host a Winnipeg Jets (our local team but choose your favorite sporting team) Party where everyone comes and watches the game dressed in team colors or jerseys. Don’t forget…it’s a potluck 🙂

3)Plan a weekend road trip somewhere with friends or the fam.  It can be local or far.  Maybe to the neighboring town or city.  Spend a night, do the local activities.  Go to the casino or winter festival or local attraction. Maybe you heard of a great ski hill or bookstore or meal somewhere.  Make that your destination. Enjoy!  Stop along the way and take some fun pics.

4)Invite your friends and family to do a 30 Day Challenge of your choice.  Pick one month in the year…Feb, March, June…whichever and have some sort of health inducing challenge.  Maybe it’s 30 minutes of exercise for 30 days or 30 days of picture taking, or 30 days of trying new recipes.  Anything, make it fun and attainable.  The goal is joy and aliveness.

5)Take a late night and moonlit walk.  If you live where there is snow, throw on some snowshoes, put on a head lamp or grab some flashlights and take a stroll.  It’s really quite blissful and magical.  I do this weekly with my dog and sometimes the hubby 🙂  To be honest, it’s kinda romantic.

6)Choose one month or even a week and have a Random Acts of Kindness challenge at work, with your family, or with friends.  Make sure to take pics and share.  Feel how good it feels to be kind and giving to others.  Buy someone in line behind you a coffee, put quarters in some shopping carts, give someone a compliment.  Bring your grandma out for lunch.  Shovel your neighbors driveways (or snow blow).  This list is endless.  Do share your ideas!!!

7)Create a romantic date night at home with the significant other in your life or have a “fancy dinner” at home with friends.  I mean go all out here…candles, table cloth, the fancy china and of course your finest clothes. Pretend your dressing for a wedding and dress to the nines.  Set the tone with Jazz tunes, dim the lights, ignite the candles.  Enjoy lusciousness. Order in, hire a private chef or have a potluck.

8)Wake up early with the fam or with friends, get a blanket coffee, muffins, donuts and watch the sun rise.

9)Grab a blanket, go outside if you can, or by a big window, grab some vino, some bubbly juice or some sparkling water and toast the sunset. Watch the magic of the day disappear and enjoy the sparkling starlight.

10)Go to a new restaurant that you’ve always wanted to try.  For me there’s this Fondue place I’ve always wanted to try just to say that I’ve been there and tried that.  It’s something different and something you wouldn’t do everyday.

11)Find a local hot spot coffee shop and invite your friends for coffee, dessert and connecting.  Indulge your senses with it all.  But really, you have to have dessert.  This is about your senses, about lusciousness, about aliveness.  I mean really, chocolate and coffee are a divine intervention in your mouth!

12)Experience the arts! Spend an evening at the art gallery or go to a play, or watch live theater.  Go to the symphony, the ballet, or a live poem night.  Trust me, this will inspire the shit out of you!! 🙂

There you go folks, one Full Blown Aliveness Challenge a month.  You got this.  Now let’s do this and do share 🙂

If you feel called, do you feel free to FOLLOW MY BLOG, I’d be so delighted.

Cheers to a magic inspired, alive, excited, happy New Year.  Woot woot!!

And so it is.

FAMILY FULL MOON PARTY…GET OUT THE HOT COCOA!

cold full moonAhhhhhhhhhhh!  The full moon is building in energy, waiting to explode into a shiny ball of lightness dancing in the sky.  Tomorrow she peaks at her fullest and I tell ya’ the energy is massive.  I feel extreme heat shooting out of hands as I write.  I must move this energy….key word….MUST!  There is so much energy going on inside, we need to take the time to express it…move it…get it the heck out of us so we can release the inner tension.

This full moon highlights both the Sagittarius energies as we are in the sign of Sag and that of Gemini.  Sagittarius is about wild freedom, connection to the cosmos, big ideas, dreams, visions….its about expansion.  And Gemini is quite opposite, a more here and now, logical, grounded energy.  So we are in the cusp of two polarities.

Cafe Astrology writes…”On Saturday morning, the Moon is full–the Gemini Moon exactly opposes the Sagittarius Sun. The Gemini-Sagittarius polarity is a mental axis, where Gemini represents the “lower mind” and Sagittarius represents the “higher mind”. A Gemini Moon encourages us to think logically, while Sagittarius persuades us to think in a far broader manner…Ideally, a balance should be found between the two energies, and this is what the Full Moon invites us to do.”

So this full moon, if you are like me, you are exploding at the seams.  I have tons of ideas and inspiration swirling inside but I have to get it down on paper, organize my thoughts, and have a plan of action so I can fully release what is within.  I have been getting stuck in the dream, unable to materialize and move it.  I need structure.  A plan of action.  That is where the gifts of Gemini come in.  We actually need organization and structure to be free….otherwise we get lost, stuck and overwhelmed in the chaos of the freedom.  We find inertia in extreme freedom….as well as in extreme structure.  So let us find the beautiful balance between the too.  This full moon calls us to be responsible with our energy…we must take time to reign it in for release.

So there a couple things that might help on this full moon.

1)  Write out what you no longer want in your life…stress…chaos..inertia…roadblocks…and burn it in a safe bowl or on the snow.   Please use caution always 🙂

2)  Write out a plan, a structured routine or schedule to organize your time.  Make sure to schedule in creative expression or play time, time for movement, time to reflect and be and connect to your Divine nature.   Organize the energy so it can flow fluidly, peacefully and freely.  Get the kids involved.  I know I’ve been planning weekly activities to do with my son ahead of time, and this is helping me get focused and scheduled for when his non school days especially.  Help the kids make a calendar or schedule for themselves too…kids love structure and to do lists.  Use a month calender template and glue onto some colored paper.  Get the kids to put stickers and decorate the calendar. List some fun winter activity ideas by looking on Pinterest or Google schedule it in with the kids.  Make some hot chocolate, put on some music, candles, incents, Christmas lights and enjoy the lovely full moon energy while you structure and organize your wild, expressive, ecstatic energy for release.

And so it is.

BE-YOU-TIFUL.

Enjoy the full moon.
